FOR IMMEDIATE RELASE - Alabama International Film Festival in cooperation with TROY University's College of Communication and Fine Arts, the Troy Arts Council and MobileFilmworks (tm) launched its first online film festival on April 25th 2011. Twenty-four films representing nine different countries will be screened by TROY students, faculty and staff worldwide. The films selected are 1. Viola (feature USA) 2. Machiavelli’s The Prince (short feature - Canada) 3. Tasmin (short feature - Israel) 4. Hooligans at War (documentary- USA) 5. Chasing Che (documentary Iran) 6. Ikilem (feature Canada) 7. Charcoal Burners (documentary Poland) 8. Paradise Recovered (feature USA) 9. Words (short feature India) 10. Shepherds of Helmand (documentary USA) 11. A Gasp for Clean Air (documentary USA-Alabama) 12. Homeless Conductor (animation Taiwan) 13. Tanks for Nothin’ (animation USA) 14. Bouncing Cats (documentary USA) 15. Beekeepers (feature USA) 16. Triangle of Death (documentary USA) 17. Secret Friend (short feature Brazil) 18. Where the Sun has a Mustache (documentary USA) 19. The Escape (short feature USA) 20. One Revolution (documentary USA) 21. Fighting Okan (feature Japan) 22. Neal (short feature USA) 23. Iranium (documentary USA) 24. Animation; a Palette of Possibilities (documentary USA)

The Alabama International Film Festival, with TROY University's College of Communications and Fine Arts and Mobile Filmworks will premiere a new format 2011. Film screenings will be held online and at selected TROY University campuses worldwide through the months of May and June. A special showcase of Alabama-made films has been added.
